Roland SH-1000 Synthesizer
Introduced in 1973, the SH-1000 was Roland's first affordable keyboard synthesizers in Japan. Designed to complement a home organ, it features a wooden sheet music stand above the keyboard and organ-style colored preset selector tabs below. All extra parameter controls are located to the left of the keyboard.
This monophonic analog synth features a single oscillator feeding a low-pass filter, an ADSR envelope, and two LFOs. While it has 10 Preset sounds, they are weak. Fortunately, you can create your own sounds for great mono-synth bass, lead, percussion, and FX tones. The oscillator provides basic square, ramp, and pulse-width waveforms, while the LFOs offer sine, square, and sample+hold options. It also includes a 'Growl' and 'Wow' effect, white noise, pink noise, portamento, octave transposition, and a Random Note Generator. Despite the lack of user memory, its simple interface allows for quick creation and discovery of unique sounds.

"This was a tough one, opened the entire thing up, cleaned all the key contacts also cleaned out all of the paddle switches for presets. All of the sliders and knobs on the top panel were also opened and cleaned out. After that, I did a full calibration on tuning as well as the filter and resonance. It's now playing great and sounding great. The only thing to note is that the resonance slider needs to be replaced as it only exhibits effect after 80% up. The problem is is there is no place on earth that has a real replacement fader for sale. It should also be stated that there are a couple of nonoriginal paddle switches for presets.
